It’s that time of year again! Christmas, Hanukkah, and all those other December holidays are here, and that means gifts galore! If you’re looking for the perfect present for all of your loved ones—from roommates to long-time boyfriends—that you can get NOW (before it’s too late), you’re in the right place.
I’ve listed 20 awesome gift ideas in order by price, from just a few bucks to several hundred dollars (so I’m sure you can find something here for everyone on your list). Of course, prices change, so they may not be perfect if you aren’t reading this on the day I published this post, but they should be in generally the right order.
If you’re here, you’re probably already a little late with buying your gifts this year, so without further ado, let’s just get right to it!

#1: A mug or tumbler (Less than $10!)
There are at least a billion personalized and not-personalized mugs and cups and tumblers out there at novelty shops, on Etsy, and even probably at your local mall for you to choose from that are super cheap, but still cute enough to let the person know that you care about them.
If they’re into music, get them a music mug. If they just got engaged, get them a tumbler that says “bride.” The possibilities are literally endless. If you can’t think of anything, just go to your college’s bookstore and pick up a school spirit-y mug. Maybe even one that says “Mom” on it.
Better yet, you could even try getting a cheap personalized ornament from a kiosk at your mall. People love stuff that’s personalized!
#2: A cute t-shirt (Less than $20!)
Is this not the cutest shirt ever?
It definitely is the cutest shirt ever.
BUT if you aren’t a book person like me, that’s okay, too. Check your university book store or local t-shirt shop for something cute that totally reminds you of your friend or family member that you’re buying it for. Odds are, there’s a cute shop somewhere that makes novelty shirts in your home town, or you can rush order something from Amazon or an Etsy shop for cheap.
#3: This super-cute pillow for dog lovers (Less than $30!)
Check this out:
If you aren’t in love with this pillow, you are either A) a cat person, or B) wrong. I really wanted to get this for my mom a few years back. It’s super cute and totally personalize-able, which makes it extra special. Who doesn’t love a gift that literally is just for them?
#4: A super small, but super powerful, wireless speaker (Less than $40!)
This cute little speaker from HP comes in a bunch of colors and is a lot louder and better quality than you would think just looking at it. I know fellow bloggers who used it at parties as the music source and it worked just fine. Plus, the music sounds really good.
It’s a Bluetooth speaker, so you can hook it up to your laptop while watching videos or your phone when listening to music, and the super cool thing about it is that on the iPhone, it tells you how much battery is left in it. (Maybe other products do that, but I never noticed, and I think it’s really cool.)
For less than $40, I think the speaker is totally a steal. Check it out.
#5: The New Amazon Echo Dot (Less than $50!)
Let me just say, this product looks awesome. I wasn’t sold on the whole “Alexa” thing (just like I wasn’t sold on “Siri” when Apple came out with her), but for this cheap price, I don’t know how you can say no to at least trying it.
This would be a great gift for a family member that is tech-savvy, but that you don’t want to spend a ton of money on!
#6: For the girl on your list…these super cute boots! (Less than $75!)
Yes, I know I’m American. Yes, I know it’s European sizing. I’m pretty sure it’s a European store. But I can’t find these boots anywhere in person or online in America. I want them so bad and these are seriously just the cutest.
As long as you know the other person’s shoe size, you can definitely get them these boots. And you should, because they look super warm and they go with everything. How can you say no?
#7: This awesome all-in-one printer (Less than $100!)
For less than $100, you can get a wireless (or wired, it’s up to you) printer, scanner, and copier all-in-one that syncs to your computer and smartphone and can even auto-magically send you refill ink when it’s running low without you ever having to tell it to.
Yes, it’s true. It’s called the HP DeskJet 3755, and it is the smallest (and from what I’ve seen, cheapest) all-in-one printer on the market. That means it fits wherever you need it to, even in a tiny dorm room, and it does everything you need it to. Plus, it’s under $100. What college student couldn’t use that?
This is a great gift for your college roommate, best friend, or even boyfriend because it looks expensive enough to be an awesome gift, but it’s actually really cheap—and if you give it to your close friend, they’ll probably let you use it so you don’t have to pay for school printing anymore. It’s a total win all-around!
#8: For the reader in your life…A Kindle (Less than $150!)
Unless your reader friend/family member is totally anti-e-books and only wants to read from tangible paper, a Kindle is an awesome gift that just keeps on giving.
Your loved one can read almost any book in the world for way cheaper than a real book is, plus, this new one has Wi-Fi and a built-in backlight if you would ever need it. It’s like a bigger, better Kindle for someone you don’t mind spending a bit more money on.
#9: A Sprocket (Less than $200!)
If you haven’t heard of the new HP Sprocket yet, it’s time to learn.
The Sprocket is this super cool, portable device that prints little 2×3 inch photos (or stickers) with no ink. That’s right—it’s a photo printer that uses no ink.
And I guarantee that the person you’re buying a gift for doesn’t have this yet, because it’s super new and trendy! I know so many bloggers who have been sharing this product all over social media, and it’s really taken all of us creative types by storm.
It’s great for school projects, room/dorm decorating, and so much more, and it’s relatively cheap for how awesome it is.
When I first got this as a gift from HP, I didn’t know I needed it—but now that I have it, I totally can’t live without it. It’s super convenient because you can take it anywhere you go, it’s durable, and the refill paper is super cheap, too. (Make sure you get them a pack to go with their Sprocket!)
#10: A Smartwatch (As expensive as you want!)
I’m specifically writing about the Apple Watch here, because both myself and Ryan (my boyfriend) are total Apple nerds (not exactly by choice). If you don’t know, my university gives every incoming freshman a Macbook Pro and an iPad (I think now they also give out Apple Pens, but they didn’t when I was a freshman), so even though I was PC all-the-way until college, I didn’t really have much of a choice but to switch to Mac, and I got an iPhone pretty soon after. Ryan did too.
And since Ryan is studying to be an EMT, and Apple Watches are super useful for that profession, I thought it would be the perfect Christmas gift for someone in your life that you really want to splurge on.
You can go totally basic and just get the basic watch (or get a pink one for a girl) in the smaller size for less than $300, which I think is a total steal when you consider the price of most Apple products.
Or you can do what I did and get the biggest, baddest watch for closer to $500.
And if you’re totally not an Apple person, Samsung had some great Android watches this year too, for a variety of uses/lifestyles/price ranges.
I totally think a smartwatch is a great way to go for someone extra special in your life, because they’ll for-sure use it, and it’s more unique than just getting them a simple necklace or tacky gift they’ll never use.
I hope you found this holiday gift guide useful for finding the perfect present for those special people in your life who deserve stuff. What other gift ideas did you have? Share with us in the comments!
