Rant Book Review: “Lullaby” by Chuck Palahniuk

I was hoping to write a full review of Lullaby, but I honestly don’t want to think about it any longer than I have to.

For that reason, here’s the TL;DR: I gave Lullaby two stars out of five. While I enjoyed the cool premise, the timeliness of the novel, the consistency in the characters, and the use of figurative language, I fell like the execution of the book fell flat.

There was a lot of unnecessary repetition, outlandish ideas, and hard-to-follow narrative.

I also felt like the characters remained static throughout the entire book, and the themes were overly-prominent, but not fitting with the overall story.

If you’re interested to hear more about what I thought of this book, I have a full rant review of it on my BookTube channel. Check it out:
